President Donald Trump's notes were photographed while he as holding a listening session this week and the notes showed the words "I hear you." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news, providing a reenactment of Trump using similar notes during his divorces, while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah used the photo to joke about Trump's hand size.

At the White House Thursday, Trump suggested other ways to stem gun violence in American schools. The president suggested giving teachers guns, prompting Jimmy Kimmel to joke that maybe we should arm everyone at schools, including kindergarteners. Trump also said that teachers who carry would get "a bit of a bonus," prompting Colbert and Noah to joke about school budget cuts.
