Play of the Day: The 'Very Stable Genius' President

President Donald Trump joins an illustrious group of people who have buttressed their own intelligence.

An electrical fire damaged an upper floor in Trump Tower on Monday, injuring three people and spewing black smoke into the New York sky. Jimmy Kimmel joked about the news, saying that the smoke is "traditionally understand as a signal that Eric Trump has lost finally his virginity."

After a book claimed that he is not mentally fit, stable or smart enough to hold his office, President Donald Trump tweeted over the weekend that he is "like, really smart" and that he is a "very stable genius." Late-night hosts pounced on the tweets, with Late Show's Stephen Colbert comparing Trump to Tootsie Rolls, The Daily Show's Trevor Noah saying a very stable genius is "Einstein if he owned a comb" and The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joking that Trump thinks his middle initial stands for "Jenius." Noah also showed a montage of TV and film characters who have also >defended their intelligence, noting that Homer Simpson is now up in the polls.
