Play of the Day: The Trump Administration's Plans For Public Land Out West

After a large-scale doping operation was uncovered, the International Olympic Committee banned Russia from the 2018 Pyeongchang games. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Vladimir Putin might now call in a favor to President Donald Trump, while Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Trump's penchant for bronzer.

On Monday, Trump signed two presidential proclamations that will reduce the boundaries of national monuments Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante by 90%. Late Show's Stephen Colbert and The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked about Trump's comments over the summer about Virginia, with Colbert saying "they're just national monuments, not Confederate monuments." Colbert also noted that the move is the largest rollback of federal land protection in the nation's history, but joked that Americans will get a bigger rollback when Trump "turns the Grand Canyon into Don Jr.'s ball pit."
