Play of the Day: Trump Pardons Some Turkeys
The president participated in the annual ritual on Tuesday.
President Donald Trump pardoned two turkeys in the annual White House ritual Tuesday. The two birds are named Wishbone and Drumstick, causing Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that being named after Thanksgiving food rituals don't bode well for the turkeys' future and compared it to naming your new goldfish "flushable."
The White House prepared profiles for the turkeys and put them out on social media. The Tonight Show put together a similar profile for the president himself, complete with height, weight, mating call and bird call.
