President Donald Trump may not have done all the research prior to tweeting his plans for the military Wednesday.
At a rally in Ohio this week, President Donald Trump said "With the exception of the late, great Abraham Lincoln, I can be more presidential than any president that's ever held this office." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the comment, contrasting George Washington and Trump's respective military records.
Trump tweeted out plans for a transgender ban in the military on Wednesday morning and late-night noticed. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that Trump's early morning tweets are akin to coffee, while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon Colbert joked about Trump's use of Twitter to make policy. In his tweets, Trump suggested medical care costs were key to the ban, so Colbert noted a report saying the Pentagon spends much more money on Viagra. He also noted Trump's support for the LGBT community, asking what Trump thinks the T stands for.
