Play of the Day: Trump Doesn't Care What You Call His Travel Ban
On Twitter, the president does not seem concerned about terminology.
President Donald Trump announced a plan Monday to shift U.S. air traffic control functions from the federal government to a private nonprofit corporation. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that all things in which Trump involves himself "becomes a nonprofit corporation." Colbert also noted Trump talking about other countries' air traffic control systems, noting that Canada's increased air traffic might have something to do with American politics.
According to analysts, Trump may have hurt his travel ban's chances in the court system by repeatedly calling it a travel ban on Twitter this week. Jimmy Kimmel joked about Trump's consistency in language that he "tweeted about it from the bathroom," while Colbert joked that Trump said the one thing he wasn't supposed to say. Kimmel even compared the president to the final minutes of a Law & Order episode, with the suspect admitting what he did.
