The president's son-in-law traveled to Iraq, increasing his portfolio of responsibilities.
President Donald Trump walked out of the Oval Office Friday during an executive order signing without signing said orders, prompting late-night hosts to joke about the event. Viceland's Desus & Mero noted Trump's less-confident walk at the White House, while Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Trump looked like a hibernating bear who woke up too early. Late Show's Stephen Colbert compared the event to "going out to dinner and ordering just the check."
Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner traveled to Iraq to meet with leaders there about the fight against ISIS. Such a responsibility is added to Kushner's already-long list of priorities, as Colbert joked: Fixing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, negotiating the wall with Mexico, tackling America's opioid epidemic and even coloring the White House Easter eggs. Jimmy Kimmel joked that Kushner is doing a lot, perhaps making Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump jealous, who are spending their time "shooting koala bears and playing hackie sack with rolls of $50 bills."
