Rick Perry, Trump's nominee to lead the Energy Department, began his confirmation hearings on Capitol Hill this week. Perry once said he would eliminate the agency if elected president, so when Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wa., pressed him on it, Jimmy Kimmel joked that Perry should've pulled a Steve Urkel. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Perry's glasses Thursday night, while Fallon joked about the danger of the person in charge of the American nuclear arsenal having another "oops" moment.
