Play of the Day: Trump and Biden are About to Throw Hands Behind the Gym… Or the Barn
This is why you don't let old guys into Fight Club.
Hillary Clinton celebrated her 69th birthday Wednesday on the campaign trail. A photograph circulated on social media of a cake her staff brought her, prompting The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon to joke about the famously prepared candidate "practicing her surprised face." Conan O'Brien and Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about email delated, while Fallon's staff showed what friends and family wrote on her Facebook Wall.
Last week, Clinton surrogate Joe Biden said that he wishes he, instead of debating Donald Trump, "could take him behind the gym. That's what I wish.” The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that "behind the gym" is the wrong place for a fight, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that it was the angriest I've seen Joe Biden since they hiked up the price of Crest WhiteStrips." Trump clapped back at Biden this week, saying “Did you see where Biden wants to take me to the back of the barn? Me. He wants it. I'd love that." Noah joked that the two could not pick a place to fight, which is "why you don't let old guys into Fight Club." After all, the first rule of Fight Club is "Remember where fight club is."
Still, the fight would get viewers, so Colbert's staff put together a promo video. Check it out at 2:56.
