Play of the Day: Trump Says Clinton Started Birther Movement… and Wants to Build a Big Wall
The GOP nominee blames Clinton for starting the rumor that Obama was born outside the U.S.
Donald Trump's foundation has been under scrutiny recently for a lack of transparency and a confusing money trail to and from the foundation. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the foundation, citing Trump's receipt of a trophy from the Palm Beach Police Foundation and joking about Trump's penchant for marrying models.
After years of questioning whether Barack Obama was born in the United States, Trump last week said "President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period." Fox News' Greg Gutfeld noted that Trump saying “Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it," is like an arsonist trying to put out a fire he started, while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump may start blaming Clinton for more Trumpisms.
