The RNC speaker got the crowd riled up about the Democratic nominee.
In a New York Times story published this week, Donald Trump's campaign reportedly offered John Kasich the VP slot by promising that he would be "the most powerful vice president in history." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news Wednesday evening by noting that we've already had a half-machine VP who "got away with shooting people in the face."
New Jersey governor Chris Christie spoke at the RNC this week, criticizing Hillary Clinton for her time as Secretary of State. Christie led the crowd in chants of "lock her up" and made the audience into a mock jury judging the Democrat. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that he expected the furious crowd, given the chance, to tear Clinton apart, while Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Christie holding "Stalin-esque show trial" at the RNC.
