In the wake of the Orlando shooting, Last Week Tonight spent the first half of his show Sunday on gun control. Oliver joked about the Centers for Disease Control's funding restrictions about studying gun violence and the restrictions on ATF's gun registration paper records.

Love letters from John F. Kennedy are going to be auctioned off later this month, which Late Show's Stephen Colbert noted. He read from other love letters from presidents, including some pretty silly ideas about love from William Howard Taft, Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt.
