Play of the Day: Ted Cruz Loves America… Probably Too Much

The Texan's New York concession speech was awkward.

The Treasury Department announced Wednesday that Harriet Tubman would replace Andrew Jackson on the front of the $20 bill. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that the Tubman 20 would be the de facto currency of African Americans, while The Late Show's Stephen Colbert noted that things could get awkward when a famed abolitionist will hang out in a wallet next to slaveowners George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump won their parties' New York primaries this week, but the real news was in GOP hopeful Ted Cruz's strange concession speech Tuesday night. Cruz said "America has always been best when she is lying down with her back on the mat," using an awkward boxing reference that sounded like he was talking about sex. Jimmy Kimmel, The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore, Colbert and Noah all noted Cruz's innuendo, with Kimmel even saying the "Cruz missile is ready to launch and we're all about to get pregnant."
