Play of the Day: Mike Huckabee Really Doesn't Want Any Syrian Refugees in America
The 2016 hopeful cites climate, religion and other things in trying to keep them out.
In a new interview with CBS, Play of the Day favorite and former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin said Katie Couric's 2008 question about her reading habits was "fair." The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about Palin, mocking her preparedness for the question even now, seven years later.
In the wake of the attacks in Paris, more than 20 governors have said they will not accept Syrian refugees into their states. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah mocked these governors as fake tough guys, considering the states have no jurisdiction in these matters.
Noah also looked at 2016 hopeful Mike Huckabee's recent statements on Syrian refugees. The former Arkansas governor opposes accepting them into the U.S., using the phrase "Wake up and smell the falafel," which Noah deconstructed. The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore looked at Huckabee's comment about his concern for Syrians coming to northern U.S. states that might be cold by citing the concept of coats and mentioning Tuesday's high temperature in Damascus.
