Two notable candidates entered the 2016 race this week. On the Democratic side, former governor of Rhode Island Lincoln Chafee announced his intentions to run with a rousing speech about a system of measurements. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, Late Night's Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon mocked Chafee's ideas about the metric system with jabs at Chafee's announcement this week.
For the Republicans, former Texas governor Rick Perry announced his second run for the White House, whetting the appetites of late-night TV hosts. Fallon brought out Play of the Day's favorite photo of Perry, while Stewart joked about Perry's smart-guy glasses and his, uh, interesting new campaign slogan.
