Jimmy Fallon's staff makes meme images out of presidential contenders Friday.
The United States is the only developed nation in the world without mandated paid maternity leave, a subject Last Week Tonight covered on Mother's Day as its main story Sunday. Host John Oliver looked at the problems inherent with such policies, suggesting expectant mothers had better makes their birthing plans around break rooms and pleasant coworkers.
The 2016 race got more entrants this week. Real Time's Bill Maher joked about Dr. Ben Carson's profession and its relation to the conservative Fox News network, while Saturday Night Live connected Carson to the coded phrase "some of my best friends are black." The Tonight Show's staff put together some image memes around more seasoned 2016 contenders Friday, joking about Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Chris Christie's love of chocolate.
