Play of the Day: Ted Cruz is Leading a Science Subcommittee
The Texan has some questions about aliens and space travel.
With Mitt Romney's recent exploration of the possibility of a 2016 run, the erstwhile candidate remains the main point of humor on late-night shows. David Letterman compiled some reactions from other candidates, while Conan O'Brien looked at the idea of Romney himself slamming the idea. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon even took a shot at Rand Paul's recent comments about Romney's case in 2016.
Over on The Daily Show, the Keystone XL pipeline debate took center stage, with host Jon Stewart highlighting the disagreement between Senator Mitch McConnell and the White House.
Fallon also looked at Sen. Ted Cruz's new role on the Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness. Cruz has a less-than-stellar history of comments on science, so Fallon compiled three of the Texans' questions before the group convenes.
