With the federal government’s budget problems, the military may have to cancel New York’s Fleet Week. Late Night ’s Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live ’s Seth Meyers both noted the threat of losing of the annual event. On CBS, The Late Late Show ’s Craig Ferguson mentioned the budget of the United States Postal Service, as well, hitting Congress for its work ethic as compared to mail carriers.

Kim Jong-Un continues to dot the late-night monologues, with Meyers starting Weekend Update off with a Kim joke. The Tonight Show’ s Jay Leno and Fallon both noted Kim’s missile capability, as well.

Gun control was a big weekend topic, as well. Fallon brought in a favorite target in Joe Biden’s maturity, while Meyers mocked the currency of language of Gun Owners of America’s Larry Pratt. SNL’ s cold open featured Jay Pharoah’s impression of Obama discussing the Manchin-Toomey plan with Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis playing the Senators. Mocking the two, Pharoah’s Obama explained that he had quite an uphill battle.

Fast forward to 4:20 to see what the Manchin-Toomey plan accomplishes.
