Would you have been furloughed?

The Office of Management and Budget told federal agencies Thursday that they should begin notifying federal employees of whether or not they would be furloughed in the event of a government shutdown.

On Friday, Government Executive asked employees whether such notifications were happening. See the comments box below for what they reported. Clearly, there was a lot of confusion about what might have transpired had a shutdown occurred.
