GovExec Daily: Transition Planning as Election Day Approaches

Courtney Bublé joins the podcast to discuss how the some agencies and the campaigns are preparing for a new administration or a second Trump term.

The 2020 presidential election is next week, but Election Day is only the start of the real work for parts of the federal government. The transition period between the election and the inauguration on Wednesday, January 20 will be crucial for the government.

Officials will have to either prepare the machinery of the bureaucracy for a second term for President Donald Trump or to prepare for a new administration led by former Vice President Joe Biden. Reporter Courtney Bublé is covering the transition and she joined the show to talk about the state of the planning.
