GovExec Daily: The Dwindling Number of Feds Assisting in the COVID-19 Fight

Eric Katz joins the podcast to discuss the cut of personnel assisting in the response.

According to Johns Hopkins University data, the United States surpassed 215,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus this week and is fast approaching 8 million cases. Over the last week, the United States has averaged over 600 deaths per day from pandemic, with spikes in Wisconsin and Montana. 

The federal response, however, is not tracking with the size of the crisis. Eric Katz has been covering the federal pandemic response for GovExec Daily since February and joined the show to discuss the Trump administration's ramping down of the federal presence in fighting the disease.
