Ex-Rep. Mike Rogers Spotted Touring Trump Transition HQ
Former House Intel chairman now radio host has been expected for months to play a role.

With the nation’s capital quietly stunned by the surprise presidential election victory of Republican Donald Trump, the Trump transition team wasted no time on Wednesday.
As it prepared its move from its pre-election headquarters a block from the White House to the new official transition office space inside the renovated General Services Administration building, smiling officials—some wearing Trump pins and hats--were seen at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby escorting former Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich.
Rogers had left the House in March 2014 to host a radio show for Cumulus Media Inc. and the former FBI agent has been broadcasting “Something to Think About with Mike Rogers,” which goes out to more than 156 stations.
He declined a reporter’s request for details on his coming role, saying only, “I’m not a bag carrier.” He was spotted again two blocks away inside GSA headquarters.
Rogers’ interest in the transition was reported back in August, with the Wall Street Journal noting that he is close to both Vice President-elect Mike Pence and transition chair Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.
Meanwhile, GSA continued its preparations to hand over keys and office supplies to the winning Trump transition team. On Wednesday morning it announced that Administrator Denise Turner Roth has ascertained Donald Trump as the president-elect for the purposes of distributing transition resources. She also informed the director of operations of each pre-election transition team and notified GSA Federal Transition Coordinator Tim Horne to begin providing space and services to the president-elect, effective immediately.
