CLINTON TO NOMINATE 10 JUDGES NEXT WEEK-"President Clinton plans to nominate 10 more federal judges when Congress returns next week, as the administration continues to press the Republican-controlled Senate for approval of its stalled judicial nominees" (The Washington Post).

LEAVE IT TO DEAVER-"The latest scandal engulfing President Clinton looks to be beyond the ability even of the legendary White House spin machine to contain. But help may be on the way. The godfather of spin, Michael K. Deaver, arrives home this afternoon from Europe and he could be available (The Washington Post).

INTERIOR AIDE DENIES POLITICAL PRESSURE-"Under intense questioning about his role in the rejection of a controversial Indian gambling casino project in Hudson, Wis., a career Interior Department official swore yesterday that he confined himself strictly to the merits of the case and denied saying that "politics" killed the plan (The Washington Post).
