GOP CRITICAL AS RENO PREPARES DECISION-"Attorney General Janet Reno yesterday reviewed recommendations from her top staff that she not seek an independent counsel to investigate fund-raising telephone calls by President Clinton and Vice President Gore, officials said" (The Washington Post).

JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TELLS HILL IT CAN'T TALLY THREATS-"Complaining that the statistics are too difficult to collect, the Justice Department has asked Congress to eliminate a requirement that it produce an extensive accounting of threats and violence against government employees" (The Washington Post).

WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT-"Picking the right time to retire in December of January can put more money in your pocket and could save on taxes too" (The Washington Post).

CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Government Technology Leadership Institute

Dec. 2-3. "Leading Change, Leveraging Technology." Marriott Metro Center, Washington, D.C.
