GOP Platform

While the pomp of the Republican convention has come to an end and Bob Dole claimed the nomination on his third bid for the presidency--another important element to the party has been decided upon as well--the party platform. There was brief speculation for a while that the platform would divide the party on the abortion issue, but a compromise was ultimately negotiated and both sides pacified.
