The mass shooting in an Orlando nightclub has killed 50 and injured 53, making it the deadliest in United States history. Below are the other single shootings that claimed the most lives in the US.

32 killed on April 16, 2007

A 35-year-old man, George Hennard, crashed his pickup truck through the walls of a cafeteria in Killeen, Texas, before opening fire and killing 23 people and himself.

41-year-old James Huberty, who’d lost his job as a security guard, killed 21 people, including children, at a McDonald’s in San Ysidro, California. He was killed by a police sniper an hour after he began shooting.
