Former Hill investigator nominated for CIA inspector general

David B. Buckley has more than 30 years of experience in military and intelligence issues and federal oversight.

A former chief investigator for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has been nominated to be inspector general at the CIA.

David B. Buckley, currently a senior manager for Deloitte Consulting, LLP, was tapped for the CIA post Thursday by President Obama.

Buckley has more than 30 years of experience in military and intelligence issues and federal oversight. He was a minority staff director of the House Intelligence Committee after working for the Senate Subcommittee on Investigations; he has served as assistant inspector general for investigations at the Treasury Department; and he was a special assistant to the inspector general at the Defense Department.
