President Donald Trump held an event for African-American Christian pastors at the White House this week. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying the pastors wanted to meet the president because they wanted to "meet someone who has broken all ten commandments."
Trump tweeted this week that "Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now" with regards to reports that Robert Mueller's investigators are looking at obstruction of justice. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that tweeting in such a way that appears to obstruct justice in a case about obstruction of justice is akin to someone yelling "I am calm!" when told to calm down during an argument. Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani told reporters that Trump's use of the word "should" means he is not commanding Sessions to do anything, but rather is using Twitter "to express his opinion." Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Giuliani's comments, saying that Trump isn't the most exacting tweeter and pointed to this week's "smocking gun" tweet this week and the time he misspelled his wife's name.
