Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill admitted this week that she flew on a private jet when she was supposed to be on an RV touring Missouri. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the news, saying her skywriting apology probably didn't help matters.

President Donald Trump returned from the Singapore summit on Wednesday and departed Air Force One without a tie or MAGA hat, prompting Jimmy Kimmel to joke that the North Koreans "replaced him with a lookalike." Trump told North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that the United States would cease "war games" with South Korea, but the Blue House seemed surprised by the news, releasing a statement saying it needed to “to find out the precise meaning or intentions” of Trump. Full Frontal's Samantha Bee joked that Trump blindsided South Korea like he's blindsided his wives with divorce, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that South Korea's statement was just a version of "Huh?"
