The Army has begun reorganizing into 43 brigade combat teams. The Army anticipates 19 of these brigades will be heavy armor units, with M1A1 Abrams tanks and Bradley troop carriers; 18 will be light infantry units; and six will be medium-weight units with wheeled Stryker combat vehicles.
