The General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service has 11 regional offices almost half of whose contracting practices have raised questions. Now, the GSA inspector general is auditing all 11.

- FTS contracting abuses were first discovered here. Employees used almost $40 million set aside for technology to procure building construction. Office was closed in 2003.

- Employees issued an award for environmental monitoring services using a technology contract.

- Employees used a technology contract to buy mental health services on behalf of the military. The GSA inspector general is investigating.
- Kansas City, Mo.
- The GSA inspector general found contracting and procurement abuses here similar to those in Bremerton. Kansas City's special technology contract with small businesses was used in the Bremerton deal.
