Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) has the potential to more efficiently centralize IT data and detect cyber threats against the federal government. Facing constant cyber attacks, the federal government is under increased pressure to protect critical networks. However, this government initiative lacks the budgetary and managerial support to be properly implemented across all federal agencies. To address these gaps and more, Government Business Council (GBC) authored a report on CDM and its government-wide impacts.
