A wave of attacks across Iraq Monday left at least 103 dead, the Associated Press reported, making it the deadliest day this year and the worst since U.S. troops left last December.
The attacks, which included shootings and bombings, spread across 13 cities and come after the al-Qaida in Iraq leader declared a new offensive.
The attacks appeared coordinated, according to AP, with blasts coming within a few hours of each other. The bombings struck mainly at government offices and security forces.
