Comprehensive to the Core
A Survey on State and Local Identity and Access Management Cybersecurity
The last few years have seen cyber criminals unleash a barrage of ransomware attacks on state and local governments, taking advantage of the fact that not all states are equally equipped in their cybersecurity strategies. The onslaught has forced state and local governments to wake up to a new reality, one that can’t be solved by perimeter defense alone. Vigilance from all sides is now critical.
Are state and local governments taking action to address these vulnerabilities? When the enemy seems to be everywhere, do these entities have what they need to secure identities and allocate access appropriately? To answer these questions and more, Government Business Council (GBC) conducted an in-depth research study in the spring and fall of 2020 looking at cyber health and cyber practices used in state and local government before and during COVID-19.
