Play of the Day: Fascists, White Supremacists and Donald Trump

The GOP frontrunner retweeted a Mussolini quote and is getting support from white separatists.

Marco Rubio and Donald Trump have been trading insults on the campaign trail this week, with Rubio joking about the size of Trump's hands. As Conan O'Brien noted, this style of vulgar humor probably isn't what the founders had in mind.

Trump also had an eventful few days after he retweeted a Twitter bot sending out quotes from mid-20th century fascist Benito Mussolini. Trump still hasn't fully disavowed the quote and his tweet has not been deleted, with Trump telling Chuck Todd that he wants "to be associated with interesting quotes" which, as The Daily Show's Trevor Noah noted, is a pretty interesting quote.

Trump was also evasive about receiving support from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and the Klan itself. Trump blamed his equivocation on a faulty earpiece during an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper when Trump said he wasn't familiar with Duke or the KKK. Late Night's Seth Meyers' wondered if Trump heard "Daisy Duke" and "The Wu-Tang Clan," while Noah said maybe Trump thought that KKK could stand for "Kool Kids Klub."
