Big spending bills heading to House floor

Next week, the House will be in session Monday through Thursday, and plans to take up and six fiscal 1999 appropriations bills: Energy and Water, Military Construction, Treasury-Postal, National Security, Agriculture and Legislative Branch.

The Senate hopes to consider the education savings account conference report passed by the House Thursday, the IRS reform conference report, the Defense Department authorization and possibly three appropriations bills--Agriculture, Legislative Branch and Military Construction.
