Storify: Defense Civilians Take Furlough Notices to Twitter

Defense Department civilians began receiving furlough notices on Tuesday to officially inform them of 11 days of mandatory unpaid leave scheduled to begin on July 8.  Facing a 20 percent pay cut from July through September, some civilian employees took their frustrations to Twitter.
