Play of the Day: Ryan Zinke's Not a Geologist
The Interior chief is many things, but he has not held the job of geologist professionally.
President Donald Trump will be running for reelection in two years and has confirmed that his slogan will be "Keep America Great." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the slogan, saying Trump's 2020 hats should say "I never met Michael Cohen."
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is under some pressure because of his use of a special flag at headquarters to denote when he is in the building. Last Week Tonight's John Oliver joked about the flag, saying it's something Queen Elizabeth would do. Oliver also joked about Zinke's repeated claim that he's a geologist, despite never working professionally in that role. Zinke studied geology in college, which Oliver said only qualifies Zinke to watch the movie San Andreas and whisper "it wouldn't happen like that" to a friend.
