Play of the Day: Meet John Bolton… And His Mustache
The president's newest advisor has a signature look… and ideology.
President Donald Trump recently congratulated Vladimir Putin for winning an election, despite his staff giving him a note in his briefing materials that told him not to. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news on Tuesday, saying Trump's staff should've put the note in something he pays attention to, like a hamburger or his daughter.
Trump named John Bolton his national security adviser last week after H.R. McMaster announced he would be stepping down from the role. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about Bolton's mustache, comparing him to Capn' Crunch and Colbert joked that Bolton's facial hair might get in the way of kissing Trump's behind. The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked about Bolton's role in the Iraq war and seeming want to start new ways by saying Bolton is DTF (Down to facilitate regime change) and Colbert joked that Bolton's war-heavy ideology could be titled "Operation I'm an old man and I'm taking you all with me."
