Play of the Day: HUD is Looking for a 'Decent Chair'

Hope Hicks, President Donald Trump’s communications director, announced this week that she is stepping down from her position in the White House coinciding with reports that she told Congressional investigators that she told "white lies" about Trump. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the news, comparing white lies to the Trump marriage vows, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that "telling lies to white people is what got Trump elected."

HUD Secretary Ben Carson is being investigated after a whistleblower said that the agency spent over $30,000 on furniture to redecorate Carson's office and the whistleblower said she was told that "$5,000 will not even buy a decent chair." The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about the news, saying Carson would be the worst contestant on The Price is Right, while Meyers joked about Carson's decor choices, including an infamous painting that hangs in the surgeon's Maryland home.
