The White House tweeted a scary photo of the holiday decoration.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was nominated for a Grammy this week for performance on the audiobook version of Our Revolution. Late night hosts joked about the news, with Late Night's Seth Meyers saying "shouted word" would've been a better category. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah took a different route, joking that there certainly will be a way that the DNC rigs the award so that 1997 Grammy winner Hillary Clinton wins it.
First Lady Melania Trump's Director of Communications Stephanie Grisham tweeted out a photo of Christmas decor at the White House and social media users made a meme out of the photo's spooky vibe. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that the photo would be the Trumps' Christmas card this year, but they're deciding whether the text should read "Wishing your family the opposite of whatever this is" or "This is what Frozen on Broadway looks like in the Upside-Down."
