Play of the Day: Trump Has Fun Distributing Supplies in Puerto Rico

The president threw paper towels to victims and joked about the U.S. budget.

President Donald Trump visited Puerto Rico to survey the damage from Hurricane Maria, meet with victims of the storm and vist with emergency workers on the island. During the visit, Trump joked that the hurricane has "thrown our budget a little out of whack," prompting Comedy Central's Jim Jefferies to note that good budgeting involves saving for a rainy day and "there hasn't been a rainier day" than Maria.

During the visit, Trump also distributed supplies to hurricane victims at a disaster relief distribution center at Cavalry Chapel in San Juan, including throwing paper towels to an assembled crowd. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah compared it to feeding the hungry by "dragging steak through a village" and Jimmy Kimmel joked that "the Brawny paper towel man would know better than to do that." Late Show's Stephen Colbert compared Trump's basketball-esque jump shot to a three-point shooter and joked that "after that, he went to a hospital and distributed antibiotics with a tee shirt cannon."
