Play of the Day: Tapes, Trump and More on the Comey Firing

"Saturday Night Live" and "Last Week Tonight" take aim at the president's latest scandal.

According to a recent profile in Time, President Donald Trump gets two scoops of ice cream with his meals while other diners get one. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the dessert, saying Trump likes it "looks like boobs."

The weekly shows took on the news of the firing of James Comey. Last Week Tonight's John Oliver noted Trump's signature on the firing letter, joking that it looks like a "heart rate monitor of a hamster on meth," while Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost compared the White House's changing stories to "a husband with glitter on his collar." Fallon joked about rumors surrounding Trump surveilling the White House, SNL's Michael Che wondered about Trump's use of quotation marks in tweets about surveillance. Oliver also noted Trump contradicting his spokespeople and joked about how easy it would be to manipulate Trump to admit to a crime, while Jost compared Trump firing Comey in the middle of an investigation to a suspicious air traveler, tying it to last month's United scandal.
