Play of the Day: Donald Trump Sends a Bus for Senators

Maybe he picked the wrong bus.

After speaking to Mexico's Enrique Peña Nieto and Canada's Justin Trudeau, President Donald Trump said this week that he would like to renegotiate parts of NAFTA instead of scrapping it. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the acronym, saying Trump would prefer "North Americans For Twitter Attacks."

Trump sent a bus to bring all 100 Senators to the White House this week for a meeting on North Korea. Late-night hosts highlighted the news, with Late Show's Stephen Colbert and Late Night's Seth Meyers comparing it to a elementary school field trip-- complete with the "buddy system." The Daily Show's Trevor Noah noted the power move nature of sending a bus for 100 people when one (Trump) could've traveled to the Senate, but realized the ultimate power move would've been to use the bus from the infamous Access Hollywood tape.

The meeting on North Korea was not particularly informative, Senators told reporters, leading Colbert to joke that Sean Spicer held it. Noah also joked about the news, saying Trump probably led the meeting with "Did you guys know there are two Koreas?"
