On Saturday, rallies in support of President Donald Trump took place across the nation. Conan O'Brien joked about the underwhelming attendance numbers, tying the joke to Trump's claims about his inauguration crowds.
Trump's Saturday tweets alleging his predecessor Barack Obama wiretapped his phone were the main topic of late-night hosts Monday night. Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump will now hire Vladimir Putin as a security expert, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert wondered if Trump's early morning tweeting suggests he needs more fiber in his diet. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah, O'Brien and Kimmel all joked that no one needs to listen to Trump's phone calls, as every thought in his head ends up on Twitter. Colbert noted that Congress may investigate Trump's claims, meaning Congress could now become an investigation unit for anything Trump says on Twitter… including Trump's claim that Obama is under his his bed.
