Play of the Day: Naming and Explaining the GOP Health Care Plan

President Donald Trump doesn't want his name on it, while Speaker of the House Speaker Paul Ryan explains why it's necessary.

First Lady Melania Trump's approval ratings are climbing, but there is a discrepancy in gender in those ratings. Fifty-eight percent of men view her favorably, while 46% of women surveyed do. Jimmy Kimmel has a simple explanation for that: Women base their thoughts on what she says and does, while men use Google Image Search for the former supermodel.

The House Ways and Means Committee debated American Health Care Act this week, but there's no pithy nickname for the Republican health care bill yet like there was with Obamacare. Donald Trump has made it clear he doesn't want it to be called TrumpCare, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke about the failed businesses Trump has put his name on and even introduced a new GOP mascot, since the party doesn't want the suffix "-care" attached to the bill. Colbert and Kimmel also joked about the video of House Speaker Paul Ryan saying Obamacare's flaw was that "the young and healthy people are going to go into the market and pay for the older, sicker people.” Colbert noted that insurance is entirely based on this theory, while Kimmel wondered if he could buy car insurance based on Ryan's theories.
