Play of the Day: Jeff Sessions Fits Well in Trump's Cabinet
The EPA chief sued the EPA, so it makes sense that the Attorney General may have perjured himself.
House Republicans are keeping the health care bill locked away in a basement, creating a scavenger hunt-like search for it. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, suggesting the Nicholas Cage could come to the rescue.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions held a press conference yesterday about his meeting with the Russian Ambassador during the 2016 campaign. In it, Sessions said he would recuse himself from any investigations of the campaign regarding Russian interference with the campaign. Conan O'Brien joked that Sessions replied to the questions by saying "absolutely nyet," while other late-night hosts compared Sessions' physical appearance to a leprechaun, an elderly baby and a Keebler Elf. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah noted that Sessions -- the nation's top prosecutor -- may have perjured himself in front of Congress by joking that Sessions fits in perfectly with the Trump Cabinet. After all, Energy Secretary Rick Perry wanted to eliminate the department, EPA Secretary Scott Pruitt has sued the department and Trump's Agriculture Secretary is just a swarm of locusts.
