Australia and Mexico are among the nations the president has phoned in his first few weeks in office.
President Donald Trump spoke to Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto recently, with the Associated Press saying Trump telling the Mexican leader that there are some "bad hombres" in Mexico. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that the bright side is that Trump is "learning Spanish," while Late Night's Seth Meyers noted that Trump might bring out some more "sixth grade Spanish."
Trump also spoke to Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull recently, having a contentious conversation about which Trump later tweeted. Noah asked "who picks a fight with Koala Island?" and Late Show's Stephen Colbert pleaded for Trump to make nice with Australia or else they'll cut off "our supply of Uggs, koala jerky and Hugh Jackman."
