President-elect Donald Trump Tuesday tweeted that those burning the American flag should face "consequences," which could include "loss of citizenship or year in jail!". Viceland's Desus & Mero joked that the tweet "escalated quickly," while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump would prefer people burn other things like tax returns.
Trump also spent some time Monday tweeting angrily about journalists. Conan O'Brien joked about the comments, comparing Trump's "they will never learn" comment to Trump University. The president-elect's recent Twitter activity made The Daily Show's Trevor Noah wonder if Trump actually has the mind of a toddler. After all, he loves building things, he enjoys attention and he loves riding escalators.
