Play of the Day: Comparing Trump and Clinton Ahead of the First Debate
Clinton's email scandal may look bad, but what do we know about the Trump Foundation?
The first general election presidential debate will be held Monday night and late-night spent the weekend comparing the candidates. Fox News' Greg Gutfeld compared Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to common duos like Ferris and Jeannie Bueller, Bart and Lisa Simpson and, maybe most accurately, a lean meal of grilled chicken against a breakfast burrito you eat after a hangover.
Last Week Tonight's John Oliver spent the show's main segment comparing the scandals of Trump and Clinton. He examined Clinton's email scandal and noted that Clinton's excuse about her private server isn't sufficient, considering her husband's reputation and the ubiquity of pornography on the Internet. But, Oliver also noted that Trump's scandals are far more numerous from the Trump Foundation to a loan Trump received from his father that was, in Oliver's estimation, as shady as if it was given in "the bones of endangered species."
